Choosing Family Friendly Finishes .Faucets.

Anyone who has built a house can tell you that they go through a period of decision fatigue. There are so many options it can be really hard to research every decision. What I relied on was knowing how my family would function in the space.

Choosing kitchen finishes is a perfect example. My kids all love to cook, so our kitchen is always bustling. When choosing our kitchen faucet I really loved the idea of an industrial design with the coil around it. However, I began to imagine a Saturday morning getting completely derailed by a pancake battered hand on that beautiful coil. That one hand could turn into an hour of cleaning and I realized the design I loved so much just wasn’t functional for our family.

So we opted for a more sleek design with a lever you can control with one hand and a pull down sprayer. It has some beautiful detailing at the base but is super easy to clean overall. Luckily, we have a wet bar going in the basement and I was able to put that beautiful industrial faucet down there.

I also put low maintenance one handle faucets in all of the kids bathrooms. This makes them easy to use and easy to clean.

Speaking of clean, stay tuned to hear more about my viral toilets.
