Your baby is leaving the nest and needs all the things for college. Their first concern is having an “aesthetic,” Dorm Room of course! I got you!
My oldest will be leaving for college next year and I thought I would have a little fun creating some mood boards for dorm rooms. I think there is a lot you can do for a Dorm Space without breaking the bank and Target is always a great back to school stop.
This Mattox Medallion Comforter Set in Yellow and Grey is giving Boho vibes and the colors won’t clash with the typical oak colored furniture found in most Dorm Rooms. The Studio Magee Threshold Mirror combines beauty and function to the space while the wood adds some warmth to the room. The Grey Studio Magee accent chair adds a perfect place to curl up with a good book or enjoy some coffee before class. Simple accents like the Threshold Chunky Knit Throw and the 3 pk Opalhouse Leaf Wall Canvas’ complete the Boho look.
If pops of color and bold prints are more your vibe, this fun Cheetah Print picture sets the tone for this room. The Pom Pom Curtians add some great texture to the space. The faux Monstera plant brings some life to the space without the upkeep. The Reversible Dot Microfiber Bedding Set from Room Essentials is a great base for adding pops of color around the room and can be flipped over if it gets dirty.
Adding some throw pillows like the Oblong Blush Cut Throw Pillow help tie the look together. The Project 62 Bookshelf will help keep all of the important college things organized and will not break the bank.
Creating a homey Dorm Space doesn’t have to break the bank. Focus on a few fun pieces to set the vibe and work around that. I especially love versatile pieces like the Reversible comforter which can be reused next year with a different color scheme if needed.
Should we do some guys rooms next?
